Job summary

Gritter Francona is seeking a Technical Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across hospitals, medical centers, and outpatient clinics.

This role will lead technical discovery, analyze site requirements, coordinate device procurement and logistics, and collaborate with client IT leadership, technology teams, engineering groups, and external vendors. Travel to multiple sites is required as part of the engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering/Healthcare Informatics.
• Experience supporting technology implementations or complex deployments.
• Willingness to travel periodically to hospitals and clinics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute technical discovery across hospitals, medical centers, and clinics.
• Assess End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO), network infrastructure, and other technical requirements at sites.
• Conduct post-discovery analysis to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical requirements for EHR implementation.
• Develop understanding of client capabilities, devices, interfaces, infrastructure, and requirements for effective discovery.
• Document findings, requirements, and recommendations clearly.
• Support development and maintenance of technical scope, site readiness, project plans, and implementation docs.
• Track device procurement, inventory, delivery, deployment, and logistics.
• Maintain relationships with site IT leaders and technical teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and vendors to resolve issues and maintain timelines.
• Support technical readiness activities leading up to EHR deployment and transition.
• Participate in cutover planning, readiness assessments, and go-live support.
• Coordinate/managed engineering activities ensuring dependencies stay on schedule.
• Identify risks and coordinate mitigation with stakeholders.
• Provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and technical deliverables.
• Travel periodically to sites for assessments and support.
