Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Converting Production Planner with procurement responsibilities to support converting operations across multiple sites, including Shelby, NC and Duncan, SC. This role offers a stable, growth-oriented manufacturing environment with opportunities to optimize scheduling and procurement processes.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong analytical and organizational skills, and frequent collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large amounts of data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage an accurate and efficient Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Ensure production plans, inventory levels, and cycle reports are accurate and reliable.
• Gather input from Sales, Marketing, and Production through structured planning meetings to improve forecast accuracy and production efficiency.
• Identify and communicate capacity constraints and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Prepare and analyze finished goods inventory reports, including actual versus optimal levels, turnover, accuracy, and adjustments with root-cause analysis.
• Ensure production schedules and related reports are communicated to required personnel.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Paper Mill Planning, and the Production Manager to confirm production schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance planning processes.
• Procurement responsibilities for raw and auxiliary materials aligned with production plans and supplier agreements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related technical field
