Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is seeking a Converting Production Planner with procurement responsibilities to support our converting operations. The role requires commuting to Shelby, NC and Duncan, SC facilities and occasional air travel to other sites across the U.S.

Responsibilities include developing the MPS, coordinating with Sales/Marketing/Production, and managing inventory and reports. Strong Excel and SAP familiarity is expected; travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of production scheduling or planning experience in manufacturing; paper/converting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate large data sets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support other sites.
• Proficiency with Excel (required) and SAP (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and manage an accurate Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Ensure production plans, inventory levels, and cycle reports are accurate and reliable.
• Gather input from Sales, Marketing, and Production to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify capacity issues and provide mitigation recommendations for converting operations.
• Prepare and analyze finished goods inventory reports, including turnover and accuracy.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure clear communication to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Paper Mill Planning to confirm schedules before distribution.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Procurement responsibilities for raw and auxiliary materials aligned with the production plan.
