Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Production Department Supervisor to oversee the department’s operations, drive cost and production goals, and develop staff through training and guidance. The role requires hands-on leadership across multiple shifts, with emphasis on safety, process improvement, and adherence to policy.

The supervisor will coach employees, manage cost and profitability, and ensure compliance with all company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, 1–3 years in people management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with UFPI systems including policy training and navigation.
• Knowledge of CI, 5S, TPM, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manages production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Motivates and coaches employees for maximum productivity.
• Identifies and resolves operational problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance and conducts employee reviews.
• Ensures safety compliance and participates in safety committees.
• Maintains department inventory and prepares reports.
