Job summary

UFP Stockertown, LLC is seeking a Production Department Supervisor to oversee multiple departments and shifts. You will train and develop staff, plan production to meet cost and profitability goals, and drive continuous improvement across processes and safety initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on leadership, and adherence to UFP policies, with responsibilities including cost management, reporting, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing; 1–3 years managing people.
• Ability to set up and manage agendas with clear time frames.
• Strong communication; speak clearly, engage listeners, ask questions.
• Proficiency with Inside UFPI, UFP policies, and navigation.
• Experience using Citrix and maintaining email etiquette.
• Knowledge of Precise Plant Quality Program and quality issues.
• Attention to detail in production data, reporting, and double-checking.
• Maintain routine yet stay organized for flexible periods.
• Communicate daily with employees; hold them accountable.
• Commitment to safety; awareness of JDA's and JSA's.
• Training in machine audits, LOTO, and safety improvements.
• Knowledge of CI: 5S and TPM; explain benefits.
• Knowledge of machinery; training records; maintenance liaison.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance and standard work.
• Provide daily feedback; identify advancement based on performance.
• Emphasize training and safety in all interactions.
• Self-awareness for process improvement.
• Complete Forklift Driver licensing.
