Job summary

Eaton's IS AER FED division in Jackson, MI is hiring a Manufacturing Operator. Shifts available: 1st 7:00–3:30, 2nd 4:00–12:30, 3rd 10:30–7:00. Base hourly rate is $16.50 with a $1 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The Jackson site is unionized and carries a 5-month probation period leading to union membership. You will perform hands-on manufacturing, assembly, testing, material movement, and quality inspections, using machines, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and computerized systems to

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
Experience with quality systems and quality-oriented processes.
Basic experience with computer applications for documentation and order processing.
U.S. employment eligibility and ability to work within a 50‑mile radius; etc.

Responsibilities

Direct and indirect hourly labor for hands-on manufacturing, material movement, assembly, and quality testing.
Work on Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve efficiency and quality.
Assemble products using machines and hand tools; fabricate as needed.
Test assemblies using equipment and fixtures; inspect parts with gauges.
Handle shipping/receiving, stockroom and material movement; document production data.
