Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for our Jackson, MI facility. The role involves hands-on production, material movement, assembly, and quality testing on multiple shifts.

You will work in a unionized environment with a 5‑month probation and must be able to operate machines, read basic drawings, and use common computer systems. Starting hourly pay is $16.50, with a $1 premium on 2nd/3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality systems and quality orientated processes.
• Basic experience with computer applications for documentation and order processing.
• U.S. person for export-controlled information; no relocation benefits; within 50 miles of Jackson, MI.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect hourly labor for manufacturing, material movement and storage, assembly and testing.
• Support safety programs and follow best practices to maintain a safe workplace.
• Join Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve efficiency and quality.
• Assemble and fabricate products using machines and hand tools; inspect with fixtures and gauges.
• Handle shipping/receiving, inventory, and data entry using manufacturing systems.
