Job summary

R3 Composites in Grabill, IN, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across 1st-3rd shifts. This on-site role supports plastic and composite manufacturing processes.

The technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspect machinery, replace parts, and document work while collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and improve safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial machinery, conveyors, presses, or molding equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems, including reading schematics and troubleshooting controls.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, diagnosing leaks and replacing components.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices; basic fabrication is beneficial.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and keeping accurate records.
• Understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment, including lockout/tagout and PPE use.
• Effective communication and teamwork, ability to work independently and across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment used in plastic and composite manufacturing.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document work performed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve safety and reliability.
• Inspect machinery and replace or repair parts; basic fabrication, welding, or machining as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
