Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial machinery, conveyors, presses, or molding equipment.

• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, diagnosing leaks and replacing components.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices; basic fabrication is beneficial.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and keeping accurate records.
• Understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment, including lockout/tagout and PPE use.
• Effective communication and teamwork, ability to work independently and across shifts.

Role Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Grabill, IN, available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in plastic and composite manufacturing. Daily tasks include performing preventive and predictive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, documenting work performed, and collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and improve safety and reliability. The technician will inspect machinery, replace or repair parts, perform basic fabrication when needed, and follow established maintenance schedules and procedures. This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, suggesting process enhancements, and helping implement equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience maintaining or repairing industrial machinery, conveyors, presses, or molding equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems, including reading schematics, troubleshooting controls, and working safely with panels and wiring.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including diagnosing leaks, replacing components, and ensuring proper system operation.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices; basic fabrication, welding, or machining skills are beneficial.
• Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance, with the ability to follow maintenance plans and keep accurate records.
• Understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and adherence to facility procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support multiple shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in plastics, composites, automotive, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Willingness to work assigned 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including overtime or weekends as needed.
