Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking skilled welders to lay out, align, and weld fabricated components for machinery frames, tanks, and piping systems according to blueprints.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, and applying various welding techniques. The role requires reading plans, precise measurements, and adherence to safety standards. Training and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in layout, alignment and welding of fabricated components.
• Ability to select welding processes per procedure and material.
• Understand geometry and metallurgy basics for welds.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components per blueprints and specs.
• Select pipe sizes and plan layouts and welding operations.
• Operate various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW).
• Prepare weld joints, clean joints, and inspect bead size and fusion.
• Connect welding power and adjust amperage/voltage as required.
• Maintain tools and shop safety.
