Job summary

Trinity Health in Perry, IA is seeking a part-time CT technologist to perform computed tomography and diagnostic imaging under the direction of a Radiologist and team leader. The role requires adapting to varied shifts and emergency callbacks to ensure quality patient care.

You will train and supervise student technologists, adhere to imaging protocols, maintain a clean, safe department, and coordinate with hospital units to support efficient patient flow and accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Two-year accredited Radiologic Technology program completed.
• Iowa Permit to Practice and ARRT registry active.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback.
• Operate CT and Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including in the operating room.
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, orderly department environment.
• Operate equipment safely and report malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Coordinate activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other hospital areas to ensure patient care.

Job Summary:

Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

Shift: Varied with call

What you will do:

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
