MercyOne Medical Group in Perry, IA is seeking a part-time CT technologist to independently perform CT and diagnostic imaging under radiologist supervision. New grads are welcome; CT training will be provided.

Shifts include call, and the role involves operating CT equipment, supervising student technologists, and coordinating with the department to ensure patient care. Requirements include a high school diploma, a two-year Radiologic Technology program, Iowa Permit to Practice, ARRT registry,

Competenze

• Examines and performs CT and diagnostic imaging procedures following protocol.
• Operates CT and diagnostic imaging equipment including OR imaging.
• Instructs and supervises student technologists during procedures.

Job Summary:

Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

Shift: Varied with call

What you will do:

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
