Job summary

Desert Valley Medical Group in California seeks a skilled Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography, CT, mammography, and ultrasound per department protocols. The role interfaces with patients to ensure imaging needs are met and supports QC activities.

The candidate may oversee sub-departments in the absence of management and handle scheduling and PACS image transmission. Required licensure with fluoroscopy permit, two modality certifications, and current BCLS.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or Special Procedures per department protocols.
• Acts as the first line interface with customers to meet imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities and supports Performance Improvement programs.
• Oversees radiology area and staff in Manager/Director absence; maintains supplies.
• Schedules for sub-departments and maintains supplies/equipment; transmits images to PACS.
