Job summary

The senior technologist supports imaging in inpatient and outpatient settings, operating room suites, and PACS documentation. Qualifications include an accredited radiologic program graduate, CA CRT license, ARRT registration, fluoroscopy licensure, and AHA

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited two year school of Radiologic Technology.
Current CA state license (CRT) required upon hire.
Current ARRT Registration or equivalent upon hire.
Fluoroscopy licensure upon hire or within 120 days.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
Three years experience in a Radiologic setting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Establish and verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain patient history.
Educate patient and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Position patient for exam and transfer to table as needed.
Monitor patient safety and comfort, and protect privacy at all times.
Apply proper technique, positioning, and ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
Verify image quality and select appropriate imaging modalities.
Demonstrate professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
Operate radiology equipment and systems, including PACS and documentation.
Adhere to department/hospital policies and assist with other modalities as needed.
