Job summary

Springfield Clinic is looking for a Radiology Scheduler to manage inbound calls, verify patient information, and schedule radiology procedures across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density and Fluoro. You will ensure insurance eligibility and patient prep instructions are correct, while coordinating with technologists.

Customer service excellence, strong organization, and proficient computer/telephone skills are required. HIPAA compliance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer and telephone skills with clear speaking voice.
• Ability to stay calm under stress and solve problems independently.
• Manual dexterity to operate keyboards and radiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls for multiple Radiology modalities and schedule appointments.
• Verify patient information and insurance eligibility, including pre-cert.
• Schedule procedures using RIS (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoro).
• Explain prep and dispense prep kits as needed.
• Check in/outpatients for Radiology procedures.
• Schedule interpreter services and complete reminder calls.
• Manage image releases with PACS and Release of Information.
• Build workers' compensation cases in IDX when applicable.
• Comply with OSHA and clinic policies; provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
