Job summary

Adventist Healthcare’s Outpatient Imaging seeks a Multi-Modality Technologist for our Silver Spring, MD location. The role performs diagnostic imaging and supports patient care across modalities, operating within ALARA guidelines and maintaining documentation in HIS/RIS/PACS.

The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, HS diploma or GED, and preferred AART credentials. This per diem position offers 16–24 hours weekly with day shifts and a $60/hour rate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's preferred, not required.
• 3 years of experience required.
• AART (RT), (CT), (M), and Dexa preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging studies following established protocols and identifies patients to maximize quality and safety.
• Receives patients, explains procedures and answers questions.
• Performs a variety of imaging examinations using dictated protocols as needed.
• Documents in HIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
• Reconstructs images and processes films as required.
• Operates imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Monitors and assists patients before, during, and after exams; maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and ensures patient shielding as appropriate.
• Maintains confidentiality and provides care for diverse age groups (pediatrics, geriatric, adolescent).
• Performs quality control and maintains relevant records.
