Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Technologist for our Silver Spring, MD location. The role entails performing diagnostic imaging studies, patient preparation, and using multiple modalities per exam with strict adherence to protocols and ALARA principles.

The position is Per Diem, 16-24 hours per week, with day shifts. Requires 3 years of imaging experience and an active ARRT certification; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
  • 3 years of imaging experience required.
  • AART certification (RT, CT, M, Dexa) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging studies and ensures patient identification, reviews orders, and selects appropriate protocols for quality and safety.
  • Receives patients, explains procedures, and answers questions about exams.
  • Performs a variety of imaging examinations using established protocols and operates imaging equipment per manufacturer specs.
  • Maintains documentation in HIS, RIS, PACS and other systems; reconstructs images and films as needed.
  • Maintains ALARA principles, proper shielding, and clean, safe environment; protects patient and staff confidentiality.

Adventist Outpatient Imaging seeks to hire an experienced Multi-Modality Technologist for our Silver Spring, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Multi-Modality Tech you will:

  • Performs diagnostic imaging studies. Properly identifies patients, reviews order and selects appropriate protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.
  • Receive patients, explains procedures and answers all patient questions and concerns pertaining to the exam
  • To be able to perform a variety of special imaging examinations using established or dictated protocols and perform all of the three different modalities as needed.
  • Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS)
  • To be able to reconstruct images, films as well as process films.
  • Operates imaging and other related equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Monitors and assists patients, before during and after examinations. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Knowledgeable and practices ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.
  • Maintain patient, hospital and employee confidentiality. To be able to provide quality care to patients of varying categories, i.e., pediatrics, geriatric and adolescent patients.
  • To perform quality control and maintain pertinent local, state and federal records as applicable to different sections.
  • Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients we serve in the office.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s preferred not required.

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Per Diem

Hours per Week: 16- 24 hours

Typical Daily Schedule: 2-3 Days per Week; 8 or 10 hour shifts

Shift Type: Day Shift

This position is Per Diem at a rate of $60/hour.

Pay Range: If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
