Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals.

Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. Requirements include an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology; CPR/BLS; ARRT certification; state RT

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required or in AH policy
• RT license in the state of practice required
• ARRT certification required
• Must have current certification in one modality and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography or PET
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) required
• ARRT-CT or ARR-T Mammography or ARRt-MRI or ARMRIT or ARRT-NMT or SNMT or ARRT-S or RDMS or RDCS or CCI-RCS or RTPET: Required
• BLS certification required per AH policy

Responsibilities

• Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.
• Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart.
• Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
