Job summary

The City of Bellevue is seeking an Associate Transportation Planner who is self-motivated and team-oriented to join the Transportation Planning Division. This role works on policy, planning, and code projects to move Bellevue forward and to support a multimodal transportation network.

Responsibilities include policy development, plan and code updates, and collaboration with partner agencies to address performance gaps in bike and pedestrian networks, with a focus on livable neighborhoods and a

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in transportation, land-use planning, urban planning or a closely related field.
• Minimum: 3 years of experience that provides comprehensive knowledge of planning principles related to transportation, land use, environment, or related areas.
• Preferred: Master's degree and AICP certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support innovative plans, codes, projects and programs to enhance mobility and safety in Bellevue.
• Prepare communication tools for businesses, residents and community members and summarize data for public and decision makers.
• Provide backup support to the Transportation Commission and manage meeting logistics.
• Analyze city transportation policies, plans, and codes and support implementation with best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external workgroups to align projects with the city’s long-range vision.
