Job summary

The City of Bellevue Transportation Department seeks an Associate Transportation Planner who is self-motivated and team-oriented to join the Transportation Planning Division.

The role supports long-range plans, policy and code work, and community engagement to improve multi-modal mobility. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of planning experience and a relevant degree; a Master’s degree and AICP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in transportation, land-use planning, urban planning or a closely related field.
• Minimum: 3 years of experience that provides the applicant with comprehensive knowledge of planning principles, practices, and techniques as they relate to transportation, land use, the environment, or other related areas.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
• Or any demonstrated combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support long-range transportation plans and corridor plans.
• Prepare policy, plan and code recommendations and public summaries.
• Assist Transportation Commission with agendas and logistics.
• Analyze and support city transportation policies and projects.
• Collaborate with City divisions and external partners on project development.
