Job summary

Nexstar Media is expanding our Rockford sales team. We seek an Account Executive with strong broadcast sales experience and a consultative, multi-media approach to grow client business in our local market.

Expect meaningful conversations with decision-makers, a close-minded drive, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital platforms. A valid driver’s license and a flexible, service‑oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Broadcast sales experience is a must.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers.
• Ability to CLOSE.
• Demonstrates personal integrity to differentiate from the competition.

• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms.
• Make decisions without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with ad agencies and manage client accounts.
• Grow a transactional book of business through strategic pricing and stewardship.
• Handle order entry, contracts, follow-up and collections.
• Prospect and grow the account list to meet targets.
• Contribute to production of client's creative elements.
• Advocate for our products across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Maintain a service-centric attitude with coworkers, prospects and clients.

This position isn't for everybody. To be successful, you must fully embrace our consultative approach that uses a multi-media strategy to help our clients grow their business.

Special Duties:

• Experience in negotiating with ad agencies
• Grow a transactional book of business through strategic pricing and outstanding account stewardship
• Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up and collections
• Strong at prospecting and growing account list
• Play a role in the production of client's creative elements
• Be an advocate for our products and programs, both broadcast and digital platforms
• Be a person: treat coworkers, prospects and clients with a service-centric attitude

Pay Range for this position is: $60,000 - $100,000
