Job summary

Denny’s, Inc. is hiring Short Order Cooks for multiple restaurant locations in the South Beloit area. As a cook you’ll assemble breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées, coordinating several tickets so plates reach the table hot and on time.

You’ll operate grills and kitchen equipment safely, follow food safety standards, and collaborate with servers to deliver a great guest experience. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a short order/line/grill cook preferred.
• Ability to multitask across multiple tickets.
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Must be 18+ and able to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cook entire meals simultaneously, coordinating items for orders.
• Manage multiple tickets with timing and accuracy.
• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées.
• Operate grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment safely.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion standards.
