Job summary

Denny’s, Inc. is hiring a Short Order Cook for on-site roles in South Beloit, IL. You’ll cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, coordinating multiple items to ensure dishes hit the table hot and on time. Experience as a cook is preferred; must be able to work weekends and holidays.

You’ll operate grills and fryers while maintaining safety standards and working closely with servers to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred as a short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or restaurant cook.
• Able to multitask and manage full meal prep across multiple tickets.
• Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook entire meals simultaneously, coordinating multiple items for each order.
• Manage multiple tickets at a time with timing and accuracy.
• Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner entrées.
• Operate grills, fryers and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and portion control standards.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver great guest experiences.
• Keep station clean, organized and ready for the next rush.
