Job summary

Denny's, Inc. is hiring short order cooks for multiple restaurant locations. You’ll cook whole meals and coordinate multiple tickets to keep the kitchen flowing, ensuring hot and fresh plates hit the table on time.

You’ll operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment, follow sanitation rules, and work with servers to provide excellent guest experiences. 18+ and ability to work weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• Experience as short order cook or similar strongly preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage full meal prep across multiple tickets.
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cook entire meals simultaneously, coordinating multiple items for each order.
• Manage multiple tickets at a time with strong attention to timing and accuracy.
• Prepare and cook menu items including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées.
• Operate grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for the next rush.
