Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage accounting within a defined store group and support operations across multiple locations. You will process transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial records while collaborating with managers and the finance team to improve reporting and efficiency.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–3 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of inventory accounting and multi-location expense processing.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Able to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Strong analytical ability to review, identify inconsistencies, and prepare correcting entries for general ledger account reconciliations.
Effectively communicate financial information, variances, and analysis to management and cross-functional teams.
Process and reconcile accounting transactions, including expense allocations and intercompany charges.
Maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts.
Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected variances.
Review and process expense payables and ensure proper coding and timely payment.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Collaborate cross functionally with management to address accounting questions and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries related to transactions.
Drive results through accountability by meeting monthly close deadlines and reporting deliverables.
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Continually build accounting knowledge and stay current on regulations and practices.
