Job summary

Gladwin Machinery Solutions in the Midwest seeks an Accounting Manager to own daily accounting operations across multiple sites, ensuring accurate close and compliant reporting. You will lead AP/AR staff and partner with general managers to drive improvements.

Experience with GAAP, audits, and ERP enhancements (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) is preferred; strong analytical and leadership skills are essential for this growing organization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Advanced MS Office and accounting software skills.
• Ability to supervise a matrixed team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Comfort using AI tools for accounting analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes across multiple sites.
• Provide dotted-line oversight of AP/AR staff and standardize processes.
• Work with General Managers on staffing, training, and performance.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as auditor contact.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and update policies.
• Extract and consolidate data to support close, reporting, and analysis.
• Lead system enhancements and ERP integrations (Business Central).
• Drive continuous improvement and internal controls.
• Manage daily accounting operations including cash, treasury, and reconciliations.
