Job summary

INFIELD Talent Solutions has a strong opportunity for a Senior Accounting & Controls Manager in Metro Detroit. The role leads AP/AR operations, supports GAAP reporting, and strengthens internal controls while collaborating with the Controller and senior leadership.

You will optimize Aspire and Acumatica ERP workflows, maintain hands-on involvement in GL activity, month-end closes, and financial reporting, and partner with operations to improve job costing and vendor activity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility
• Strong AP & AR operational knowledge, including leading people and improving processes
• Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations
• Experience in ERP environments and optimizing ERP workflows
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Lead AP & AR Operations: provide day-to-day leadership and accountability across AP/AR with strong controls
• Develop & Support the Team: coach and develop accounting staff and establish efficient processes
• Strengthen Processes & Controls: evaluate workflows, identify gaps, implement improvements
• Optimize ERP Workflows: maximize Aspire and Acumatica effectiveness across AP/AR, GL, job costing
• Support Core Accounting Activities: hands-on with GL, month-end close, reconciliations and reporting
• Partner with Operations: improve financial visibility and processes related to job costing and vendor activity
• Drive Continuous Improvement: reduce manual processes and enhance reporting
• Support Audit & Risk Management: maintain controls and assist with audits
