Job summary

Carter Lumber Company Installed Sales is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead Multi-Family projects in NE Ohio, coordinating between the office and field to ensure timely, accurate production. The role interfaces with the Field Superintendent to set project direction and requires clear communication across departments.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, developing schedules, managing take-offs, submittals, labor, materials, and change orders while tracking budgets and progress

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial Multi-Family construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of job site management processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures and practices.
• Understanding of contract changes to build out schedules.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PlanSwift is a plus.
• Servicing the NE Ohio areas.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and project schedule thoroughly.
• Create a mutually agreed upon schedule of values between Carter Lumber and customer.
• Review take-off to ensure correct quantities and product are ordered and delivered at the appropriate time.
• Send and track submittals for all product until approved for order.
• Obtain labor source and execute Carter Lumber approved labor sub-contract.
• Procure material and advise Field Superintendent of arrival dates.
• Provide customer change orders when necessary.
• Review Field Superintendent daily reports and weekly safety meetings.
• Track job progression and monitor project budgets.
• Submit pay applications per contract documents with customer.
• Submit and approve pay requests on behalf of sub-contract labor.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and other trades as needed.
• Set up initial meeting with customer prior to performing scope.
• Attend hand off meetings with sales team to accept new projects.
• Review contract scope of work and schedule for accuracy of what is being provided and that durations for installation are acceptable.
