Job summary

Specialty1 Partners, based in Houston, TX, is seeking an Accountant II to support our multi-entity financial operations. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and monthly close across multiple dental practices, ensuring GAAP compliance and data integrity.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in accounting, healthcare or multi-entity experience, and strong Excel skills. This in-person role offers a base pay range of $70,000–$80,000 with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience; healthcare or multi-entity experience preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or ERP).
• Strong GAAP understanding and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for multiple dental practices/entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheets and bank accounts and resolve items promptly.
• Review P&L results and ensure accurate recording of fluctuations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare financial statements and internal reports.
• Reconcile payables and receivables and collaborate with operations for accurate data.
• Support audits by providing schedules and responding to inquiries.
