Job summary

KLR Executive Search Group partners with a privately owned construction and property management client to recruit a Controller. The role oversees the full‑cycle accounting across multiple entities, emphasizing GAAP compliance, general ledger integrity, and accurate financial reporting.

The successful candidate will manage monthly and year‑end closes, cash flow forecasting, intercompany cash movements, and will work with external partners to ensure timely, well‑documented outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of GL accounting, reconciliations, payroll processes, and month-end close.
• Experience with construction accounting including LOA administration & Draw Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities with accuracy.
• Stabilize and strengthen the accounting function with clear processes.
• Lead monthly and year-end closes with external partners.
• Own cash management and intercompany liquidity visibility.
