We invest in highly automated equipment and live our motto every day: “Customers first, employees always!”A Day in This RoleYou arrive on any shift, review the day’s work orders, and take ownership of multiple cold heading assets. You’ll translate job travelers and drawings into precise setups, dial in tooling, and keep parts flowing to print. Throughout your 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday, you’ll monitor quality, record data, and keep machines healthy. If needed, Friday becomes an 8-hour overtime day to meet customer demand.What You’ll DoInterpret job travelers and part blueprints to determine setup, tooling, and specifications.Set up and run multi-die progressive heading equipment to produce parts to drawing dimensions.Troubleshoot out-of-spec conditions and adjust processes to bring parts back into compliance.Own output targets across your assigned area and hit production goals.Meet quality and rework objectives through in-process inspections that verify dimensions and specs.Track and replenish tooling inventory to avoid production interruptions.Complete all production documentation, including downtime, scrap, and yield calculations.Execute routine preventive maintenance and keep equipment in peak condition.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation using 6S and site safety standards.Follow environmental practices; read MSDS and understand oil/chemical labeling and storage rules.Contribute continuous improvement ideas on a regular basis.Perform tooling maintenance and modifications, and take on related duties as assigned.Reporting LineReports to: Production SupervisorWhat You BringExceptional work ethic and a growth mindset.10+ years verifiable experience setting up and operating multi-die progressive headers.Ability to design/modify tooling to achieve required product outcomes.Experience with roll thread machines is a plus.Proficiency with shop equipment: surface grinder, lathe, hydraulic press, etc.Mechanical aptitude and foundational cold header maintenance skills.Blueprint literacy; able to follow written and verbal instructions.Accurate data entry in a data collection system.Hands-on inspection skills using comparators, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and more.Solid shop math for accurate calculations.Proficiencies That Set You Up for SuccessContinuous ImprovementEquipment TroubleshootingLean Manufacturing PrinciplesERP & MRP SystemsAdvanced Inspection & Gauge MeasurementExcellent Communication SkillsExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentBlueprint ReadingAdditional InformationPhoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
