Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Pipefitter to join the Operations team in Cleveland, TN. The role focuses on laying out, assembling, installing and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment for industrial processes.

Cross-training across trades is expected to support diverse customer requirements. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and related experience, with the ability to read specifications and work from diagrams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in pipefitting, millwrighting, or related trades preferred.
• Ability to read specifications and follow drawings and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications, using saws, torches, threaders and benders.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes and fittings by welding, brazing, cementing or threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using gauges and hydrostatic testing.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specs.
• Additional skills in other crafts may be required to meet customer needs.
