Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Pipefitter in our Operations department.

The role focuses on layout, assembly, installation and maintenance of pipe systems, supports and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling and industrial processing. The candidate will be cross-trained in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and related trades to meet customer requirements, with safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Cross-trained in multiple trades (millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil).

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, threaders and benders.
• Assemble and secure pipes and fittings by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints according to specs.
• Attach pipes to walls and structures using brackets and welding equipment.
• Inspect and test installed piping systems and pipelines for integrity.
