Job summary

Cherokee Millwright is seeking a Multi-Craft Pipefitter to join our Operations team. The role focuses on laying out, assembling, installing and maintaining pipe systems, supports and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating and industrial processing systems.

Cross-training across trades is expected to meet client needs. The position requires basic schooling or equivalent experience, with ability to work under varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or two years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, threaders and benders.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and equipment by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering or threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Inspect, test installed systems and pipelines
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
• Plan pipe system layout, installation or repair per specifications
• Additional skills in other crafts may be required to meet customer needs.
