Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Multi-Craft Pipefitter for field installation and maintenance of pipe systems across our client sites. The role emphasizes lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipes and supports for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processes.

The position requires cross-training across trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and civil work, with a strong focus on safety and reliable workmanship in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and supports.
• Welding and threading/jointing skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders and benders.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Additional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers need and will be expected in this role.
