Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment. You will work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic automation systems to support safe and efficient plant operations.

The role requires hands‑on problem solving, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–7+ years of multi‑craft maintenance experience in steel, metal processing, or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Working knowledge of industrial hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Welding/fabrication (MIG, Stick preferred).
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical failures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Install, align, and rebuild industrial equipment.
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance planning teams.
• Support production startup, changeovers, and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, hot work, confined space, and fall protection.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, plant safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions or upgrades.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS.
