Job summary

Precoat Metals is seeking a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician for our Elkridge, Maryland plant. The role involves troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, reading blueprints and schematics, and performing preventative maintenance to support production.

Duties include installation, welding, equipment fabrication, and coordination of repairs with shift leads, while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience repairing and troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, equipment manuals, blue prints, and electrical schematics.
• High school diploma or GED; clear communication with coworkers, vendors, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot using knowledge of controllers, electronics, circuits, and mechanics.
• Conduct plumbing and pipefitting on plant piping (steam, water, air, gas, chemicals).
• Operate and repair boilers, compressors, sprinklers, cooling towers, and pumps.
• Read and interpret machine drawings and electrical schematics.
• Install, modify, and fabricate equipment to meet production needs.
• Weld and fabricate as necessary for repair or projects.
• Maintain building interiors/exteriors and ensure housekeeping.
• Coordinate repairs with department managers and shift communications.
• Participate in safety, quality, and housekeeping improvements.
