3M is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates in Newark, Delaware!

Pay starting: $37.43 with $1.00 shift differential

Schedule: Full time 2nd shift 4:00PM-2:30AM Monday-Thursday

As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

1. Performing all the duties of a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in keeping production and auxiliary equipment operational and processes going.
2. Troubleshooting difficult equipment issues using blueprints, equipment manuals and internet resources while utilizing an advanced skill set in most of the following areas: pneumatics, PLC, machinery, hydraulics, welding, and electrical.
3. Participating in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position.
4. Following all plant safety rules and regulations, wearing PPE as required per procedures.
5. Assuring labor time is entered in maintenance work orders along with detailed resolution.
6. Taking initiative to resolve issues while receiving little instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

1. Possess a High School Diploma/GED.
2. Two (2) year trade school or higher (Completed and verified prior to start) OR two (2) years’ experience as a skilled technician in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

1. Five (5) years’ experience in a maintenance function.
2. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment to include PLC’s, sensors and operator interface stations.
3. Ability to perform basic machining, fabrication, welding, pipefitting and millwright tasks.

Work location: Onsite – Newark, Delaware.
