Job summary

Nucor Skyline is seeking a qualified Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical systems at our U.S. facilities.

The role involves skilled mechanical maintenance and industrial electrical work, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work independently or with the team, and be prepared for weekends/holidays as operations require.

Qualifications

• 2 years combined experience or education in related field.
• AC and DC Motors experience and automation knowledge preferred.
• Pneumatics, hydraulics, welding experience beneficial.
• Programmable Logic Controllers and motor controls expertise required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform skilled mechanical maintenance and industrial electrical tasks (preventative and corrective).
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot systems; analyze breakdown causes when downtime occurs.
• Determine and carry out repair actions to return equipment to operation; follow safety lockout procedures.
• Work independently or in a team; be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
