Job summary
Novelis – Guthrie Recycle Center in Guthrie, KY, is seeking an experienced multi-craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability and uptime through preventive and corrective maintenance, with emphasis on safety and accountability.
The successful candidate will perform troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, read schematics and operate CMMS SAP; rotating day/night shifts with overtime as needed to support
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 5 years' industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and PLC ladder logic.
- Experience with mechanical components such as bearings, gears, belts, pumps and gearboxes.
- Electrical knowledge: 3-phase/480V systems, motor controls, drives.
- Work rotating day/night shifts with overtime as needed; strong safety culture.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on weekly schedules.
- Identify failures and repair to maintain reliability; improve MTTR/MTBF.
- Communicate repair estimates and coordinate with affected departments.
- Support RCA/RCFA, 5S and Reliability processes.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance asset reliability.
