Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, is seeking a hands-on Multi-Craft Maintenance Employee to keep production equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, weld and fabricate parts, and support safety and reliability goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Altoona.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree is a plus.
• Experience with industrial equipment, machine controls, and 480V/3-phase electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HMI systems, AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and other industrial electrical components.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on production equipment.
• Performing mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Welding and fabricating parts as needed to support equipment repairs.
• Repairing and maintaining facility systems and equipment.
• Completing general maintenance tasks throughout the plant.
• Identifying and correcting equipment problems before they lead to downtime.
• Working with operations and maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly.
• Following all safety procedures while performing maintenance work.

What will you be doing?

Who are You?

• Experience working with industrial equipment, machine controls, and 480V/3-phase electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HMI systems, AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and other industrial electrical components.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication work.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license within the City of Altoona is highly desirable.
• A dependable, safety‑focused team player who enjoys solving problems and working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.
