Job summary

Staff Perm in Townsend, MA is seeking a Multi-Color Press Print Operator for the 3rd shift. You will operate and set up multi-color sheet-fed or high-speed web presses, mix PMS ink, adjust ink and water balance, and ensure accurate color registration to meet customer specs.

This contract role requires 3 years of manufacturing/printing experience, a HS diploma or GED, and basic computer skills. Training is on the 1st shift; 11:00pm–7:00am schedule; background check and drug screening apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete effective set-up of press including loading stock, setting paper path and stretch, mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, and setting up attribute functions.
• Meet job requirements for ink density, ink/water balance, color matching, size and construction at required quality.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance and understand all press controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and adjust equipment including blanket changes and wash-ups.

Join our team as a Multi-Color Press Print Operator on the 3rd shift, where your skills in precise press setup and ink handling will ensure top-quality printed products.

As a Press Print Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses. Your expertise in mixing PMS ink, adjusting ink and water balance, and ensuring accurate multi-color registration will be key to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

• POSITION: Contract
• SCHEDULE: 3 rd Shift – 11:00pm to 7:00am / Sunday – Thursday (Training is on 1st shift)
• PAY RATE: $22.00 hour

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use.
• Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Required Qualifications
