Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage patient flow, obtain vitals, and document care across clinics in the MWMG Staffing Pool. The position involves travel between clinic locations and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certification, CPR, and at least two years of clinical support experience in a medical office. Strong EMR skills and infection control knowledge are essential.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification required at hire.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Minimum of two years clinical support in a medical office setting.
• EMR experience required and strong infection control knowledge.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, vital signs, EKG, injections; patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Greets, rooms, and prepares patients for examinations and procedures in a timely, professional manner.
• Reviews charts and obtains required reports, test results, and patient information prior to visits.
• Collects and documents patient histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Prepares and maintains exam/procedure rooms, ensuring supplies and equipment are available.
• Assists providers with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and specimen collection.
• Processes, prepares, and routes laboratory specimens according to procedures and insurance requirements.
• Documents patient interactions and care in the medical record; communicates test results to patients within scope.
• Coordinates scheduling for follow-ups, surgeries, and diagnostic testing.
• Maintains infection control, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
