Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: CT, DE, IA, IN, KS, KY, NC, NH, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, MA, WI, AZ, FL, GA, MI, MO, TN, TX, NJ.

This position requires complex technical knowledge of MuleSoft 4.0, including a strong understanding of MuleSoft development concepts. Candidates should have a good grasp of API Management fundamentals and be capable of creating end-to-end integration deliverables, technical specifications, and recommending high-quality solutions for the Mule ESB platform.

The role involves analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing solutions in coordination with management, team members, and end users, following the Enterprise SDLC. It also includes supporting production systems by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. The candidate may oversee less experienced analysts or assist with special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • System Enhancement: Improve department systems, processes, and applications using MuleSoft Platform to construct APIs, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provide estimates for new features and assist in implementing modifications. Execute test plans to validate application functions.
  • Analysis: Gather data related to user requests, determine scope, estimates, and system impacts. Review business and programming specifications, code, test plans, and documentation for accuracy. Troubleshoot Mule ESB issues using debuggers, flow analyzers, and configuration tools.
  • Business Support: Provide technical support for production systems, address issues, anticipate maintenance needs, and ensure end-user functionality. Draft technical specifications and application designs. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Design and develop MuleSoft APIs, deploy into cloud environments, and develop interfaces and integration flows using Mule ESB, Anypoint Studio, Mule Connectors, Database, MSMQ, HTTP, Web Services, and Email. Experience in creating API architecture with Experience, Process, and System API layers is required.
  • On-call Support: Provide 24/7 support via rotations.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of Application Engineering experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience. Preferred education is a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, RAML, Dataweave, CloudHub, and On-Prem deployments.
  • MuleSoft certification is preferred.
  • Experience creating custom policies, secure APIs, and integrating with Salesforce using MuleSoft connectors.
  • Experience with SQL databases, SQL Server, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SOAP-UI, and JMeter.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
