Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: CT, DE, IA, IN, KS, KY, NC, NH, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, MA, WI, AZ, FL, GA, MI, MO, TN, TX, NJ.

This position requires complex technical knowledge of MuleSoft 4.0. The candidate needs a very strong understanding of MuleSoft development concepts, API management fundamentals, and the ability to create end-to-end integration deliverables, technical specifications, and recommend high-quality solutions for the Mule ESB platform.

The candidate should be able to analyze, code, test, and implement solutions in coordination with management, colleagues, and end users, following the Enterprise SDLC. They will serve as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. System Enhancement: Improve department systems, processes, and applications using MuleSoft Platform to construct APIs, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provide time estimates for system changes and assist in implementation. Execute test plans to validate application functions.
  2. Analysis: Collect data related to user requests, determine scope, estimates, and system impacts. Inspect specifications, programming, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Troubleshoot Mule ESB issues using debuggers, flow analyzers, and configuration tools.
  3. Business Support: Provide technical support to production systems by addressing issues, anticipating maintenance, and ensuring end-user functionality. Draft documentation for systems, end users, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and designs. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
  4. Technical Expertise: Design and develop MuleSoft APIs, deploy into cloud environments, and develop interfaces and integration flows using Mule ESB components such as Anypoint Studio, Connectors, Database, MSMQ, HTTP, Web Services, and Email. Experience with API architecture, API management, and various components of the Anypoint platform is required.
  5. On-call Support: Provide 24/7 support via rotations.
Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of Application Engineering experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience. Preferred education is a Bachelor's in Computer Science.

  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, RAML, DataWeave, CloudHub, and On-Prem deployment.
  • Certification in MuleSoft is preferred.
  • Experience creating custom policies, deploying, securing APIs, and integrating with Salesforce and SQL databases.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, pipelines, and release management.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SOAP-UI, JMeter.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
