Job summary

Redan Elementary School in DeKalb County is seeking an experienced MTSS Specialist to oversee the MTSS framework and support RTI implementation. You will train and consult with teachers and staff to ensure academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs are met.

You will manage RTI processes, collaborate with district and school personnel, schedule meetings with parents and teachers, and monitor MTSS fidelity to improve outcomes. Compliance and data tracking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work required.
• Minimum three years of classroom teaching or related supervisory experience.
• Valid PCS certificate at level T-4 or above, or counseling/psychology/social work at level S-5 or above; endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support MTSS framework, providing training and consultation to staff.
• Manage RTI caseload to ensure intervention fidelity and student achievement.
• Collaborate with district and school staff to support early intervention strategies.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings with parents, teachers, and stakeholders.
• Provide direct support and training on interventions for effective execution.
• Monitor MTSS fidelity at the school level for behavioral and academic interventions.
• Act as liaison between students, teachers, and parents, communicating progress.
• Input data into relevant systems to track student progress and records.
• Attend training sessions for professional development in educational practices.
• Identify problems and resolve moderately complex issues as they arise.
• Make minor process improvements to enhance department performance.
