Job summary

ESCSPED is seeking a MTSS Specialist to drive the design and implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) program within an LEA setting. The role focuses on capacity building, framework alignment, and outcomes improvement across student populations.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in an LEA, regional education center, or the Texas Education Agency in a management role, and possess strong leadership, collaboration, and staff development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate is required for eligibility.
• Texas Special Education Teacher Certificate is preferred.
• Master's degree in Special Education or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MTSS framework to improve student outcomes.
• Lead and coach LEA leadership teams in MTSS processes.
• Coordinate staff development and trainer activities for MTSS.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to support system change.
• Demonstrate strong leadership with high expectations for all students.
