Job summary

Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking an MTSS Math Support Specialist for grades 6–8 to provide targeted mathematics intervention within the MTSS framework.

You will collaborate with teachers, intervention staff, and families to develop data‑driven plans, monitor progress, and help students close gaps while building an inclusive, rigorous learning environment that supports all learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with middle school students (grades 6–8).
• Knowledge of MTSS, RTI, or intervention frameworks.
• Strong understanding of mathematics instruction and intervention strategies.
• Ability to analyze assessment data to guide instruction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to supporting the academic success of all students.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted small-group and one-on-one math interventions for students in grades 6–8.
• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with Ohio Learning Standards.
• Use assessment data to identify student needs and develop individualized intervention plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on performance data.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional support and intervention strategies.
• Participate as an active member of the school's MTSS Team.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, intervention services, and assessment results.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and intervention goals.
• Support the development of a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Attend MTSS meetings, professional development sessions, and other school meetings as required.
