Job summary

Public Health Management Corporation seeks a Math Intervention Specialist to design and deliver math interventions for students with special needs at Fairwold Academy in Fort Washington, PA. The role collaborates with teachers, special education staff, and administration to close learning gaps using data-driven approaches.

The specialist will develop MTSS for math, provide PD to staff, and participate in IEP meetings, reporting to the Director of Education.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Instructional I or II certification as a K-8 Math or PK-12 Special Education Teacher.
• Master’s degree in education or a related field.
• One year of experience working with a special needs population in a school setting.
• Understanding of emotional and behavioral disorders, mental health issues, autism, developmental delays, and intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students identified as eligible for math services in individual and/or small group settings.
• Plan instruction and assessments to identify and address math gaps.
• Develop MTSS model for math with Universal, Tier II and Tier III supports.
• Coach and model instructional strategies for math and special education staff.
• Participate in IEP meetings with professionalism and data.
• Deliver professional development to paraeducator staff on math instruction.
