Job summary

The Lake Washington School District's Margaret Mead Elementary is seeking an MTSS Instructional Coach (TOSA) 1.0 FTE to support teachers through coaching, modeling and collaborative planning to improve student outcomes.

As an MTSS-I coach, you will lead professional learning, facilitate data-driven decision making, and foster equitable, culturally responsive instruction across classrooms, with emphasis on family and staff collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MTSS framework and research-based instructional practices.
• Commitment to collaboration for whole-team success.
• Experience with anti-racist actions and beliefs in education.
• Experience teaching in elementary schools; multi-school context preferred.
• Teacher leadership experience including planning and leading professional learning.
• Familiarity with effective Professional Learning Communities.
• Experience implementing culturally responsive teaching.
• Ability to facilitate adult learning and professional development.
• Understanding of diverse learning needs and aligning instruction accordingly.
• Knowledge of Common Core and WIDA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and models instructional practices to improve classroom instruction.
• Co-plans, co-teaches and provides feedback to teachers.
• Supports MTSS-Intervention teams with data-driven decisions.
• Facilitates PLCs and provides tools for effective collaboration.
• Aligns coaching with district frameworks and initiatives.
• Provides ongoing professional development and coaching for new teachers.
